Are you bored on Wednesday Nights?
 

Come downtown to the Robinson Film Center and join a group of people who have found the answer to the Wednesday night blues.  We're a small core group that meets every Wednesday night at the Robinson Film Center in downtown Shreveport  to play "traditional" card and board games, often referred to as "party games".   It's something to do in Shreveport, and it's FREE!

There is no charge to join our group.  We are open to new, like minded players and invite you to join us on Wednesdays.  As a group, we are not your typical "gamer" group in that our members are a cross section of the community, who vary in ages and have bonded together for the primary purpose of just having fun, in a laid back, fun environment.  The game we play is not as important as the conversation, and the friends that we make.  Our skill levels vary widely and if you are a casual player, just looking to expand your circle of friends, we think you will feel at home in our group.  Laughter is a huge part of the chemistry of the game.

If you would like to join our group, we invite you to come down to the Robinson Film Center on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM.  We usually play until 8:30-9:00 PM, the deciding factor being when people have to leave.  Please note that child care is not provided and this is intended to be an Adult  setting, although older teens are welcome.

Please note that no outside food or beverage may be brought into the center.  There is food and drink inside.  Free Parking is available on the curb and in near by parking lots after 5:00 pm.  See the map below.

GAMES WE PLAY:
Our group is typically playing traditional card and board games.  We've decided not to play the type of strategy games that are typically only sold in the gamer stores or online and sometimes referred to  "Modern Euro Strategy Games" and instead focused our group on the typical games that you and your family might find in department stores and in your closet.   As a matter of information, there is a Strategy Game group that meets on another night at a local pizza parlor if you are interested in playing the Euro  Strategy Games. 

Our focus is on easy to play, more widely known games that you and your family might typically play at home, as we are not "real gamers", just out for a fun evening.

Some of the games that we have played, or will play at some point are listed below, although this is not an complete list.  If you have a game that you would like to introduce to our group, you are welcome to suggest it and we will consider adding it to our playlist.  The focus is as much the friendship as it is the game.  We want to have fun, and meet new people!
